Our farm was established in 2018 when we decided to purchase a 10-hectare plot of land in the municipality of Suvereto to cultivate olive and wine plants.
WINE PRODUCTION

White and Red

Campetroso's wine is the result of careful selection of grapes, grown in vineyards that stretch across the plains surrounding the agriturismo. The harvest, the climax of the agricultural year, is done manually, respecting the rhythm of nature and the optimal ripening of each cluster. This approach allows us to select only the best grapes, which are then transformed into wine using traditional methods.
Campetroso's wine is not only a pleasure for the palate but also an authentic expression of the terroir where it is produced, characterized by fruity notes and a unique freshness that only a natural product can offer.

We cultivate 6 types of grapevines that have always belonged to the Tuscan winemaking tradition.
The red berry vines are Sangiovese, Colorino, and Malvasia, while the white berry ones are Vermentino, Trebbiano, and Malvasia Bianca.
We carefully select our best grapes to produce a red blend composed of a high percentage of Sangiovese. The maturation occurs in steel barrels and aging in oak barriques.
The result is a wine with a good body and aromatic notes of red fruits like cherry, mixed with spicy hints that perfectly match the meat and game dishes expertly prepared by our agriturismo's kitchen.
Our white wine is instead a pure Vermentino, which is perfect for pairing with fish dishes and offers freshness during the warm summer evenings typical of our region.
OLIVE OIL PRODUCTION

Extra Virgin

In parallel with wine production, the Agriturismo Campetroso is dedicated to the cultivation of olive trees. The olives, also grown without pesticides, give life to an extra virgin olive oil of excellent quality. The harvesting of the olives is done in full respect of natural timing, picked by hand to avoid stressing the plants and to ensure that only the best fruits are pressed.

The cold pressing process is used, a method that preserves all the nutrients and aromas of the olive, producing an oil with a rich and delicate flavor, ideal for enhancing any dish without overpowering it.

We cultivate olive varieties such as Leccino, Maurino, Pendolino, Leccio del Corno, and Frantoio for a total of 2600 plants, some of which are already mature and others planted in 2018 and 2024.
We care for our plants with natural products and keep the soil always rich in nutrients in order to obtain an excellent quality fruit that we will taste after its transformation.
The resulting extra virgin olive oil has an intense and unmistakable flavor with fresh vegetal notes of olive, artichoke, or almond, with a typical slightly bitter and spicy finish that makes Tuscan oil among the best in the world.
It's ideal for dressing but also for cooking thanks to its nutritional characteristics.

The Harvest with Guests

Every year we organize the harvest with our guests, a beautiful opportunity to rediscover a tradition of the past. In the past, farmers used to invite friends to help them with the harvest and in the evening it was traditional to celebrate all together with joy and carefreeness. This is what we have been doing since 2018 with our guests who over time have become true friends.

1. Farmhouse Restaurant

The restaurant is located inside Borgo Campetroso, 5 minutes from the medieval village of Suvereto, a special opportunity to taste typical local recipes immersed in the splendor of the Tuscan countryside... Our cook's kitchen awaits you for delicious lunches and dinners, in a natural setting of unforgettable colors, where relaxation and quiet will cradle you during the tasting of uniquely flavored dishes.

2. Tuscan Cuisine

The restaurant's cuisine ranges from meat, typical of the Suvereto area with dishes based on wild boar and beef, to the freshest fish from the Tyrrhenian Sea (we are only 20 minutes from the sea), to mixed cutting boards of cold cuts and cheeses from our areas, paired with excellent red and white wines from the best local wineries.

3. Location

The restaurant offers customers both an air-conditioned room, tastefully furnished and with a family and welcoming atmosphere, and a terrace for outdoor dining on summer evenings, with a view of the Gulf of Follonica and the island of Elba. A shaded patio at the entrance of the restaurant for a poolside aperitif complements the garden where there are some games that will entertain your children.

How to Reach Us:

Route with Google Maps

We are in Tuscany, on the border between the provinces of Livorno and Grosseto, in a coastal area called the "Etruscan Coast".
The agriturismo is located about 6 km from the medieval village of Suvereto; If you prefer to use your GPS, set your final destination to the town of "Suvereto", or use the GPS coordinates latitude: 43° 04' 50'' , longitude: 10° 43' 33''. Once you arrive in the town, you are about 6 km from our structure, follow the instructions below.

  • From the North

    Take the highway towards LIVORNO, continue until the mandatory exit at ROSIGNANO MARITTIMO. From here, continue on the Variante SS1 Aurelia, heading SOUTH until the VENTURINA exit. From the VENTURINA exit, continue on the SR 398 towards SUVERETO until you reach the beginning of the town. From Suvereto, follow the instructions below to reach the agriturismo.

  • From the South

    Take the highway towards GROSSETO, continue on the SS1 Variante Aurelia, heading NORTH until the VENTURINA exit. From the VENTURINA exit, continue on the SR 398 towards SUVERETO until you reach the beginning of the town. Follow the instructions below to reach the agriturismo.

  • From Suvereto

    Follow the SS398 towards Monterotondo Marittimo. About 5 km from Suvereto, you will find a fork in the road with various signs, including "Monterotondo Marittimo" on your left. Continue towards Monterotondo M.mo and, after about 1 km, you will find a beautiful tree-lined avenue on your right with our sign "AGRITURISMO CAMPETROSO" at the beginning of the road. Take the tree-lined avenue and you have arrived!
